The Aim Of The Course
The aim of integrated course for Airline Transport Pilot (Airplane), in further text abbreviated ATP(A), is to train a student to the level of proficiency necessary to operate multi-pilot, multi-engine airplane as a co-pilot in commercial air transportation, to prepare the student for obtaining CPL(A) with IR and to prepare the student for ATPL(A) theoretical exam in front of Aviation Authorities.
Pre Entry Requirements
A beginner without previous experience in aviation ("ab-initio") or a student who owns a valid PPL (Private Pilot Licence) can enroll into the course, and shall be at least 18 years of age.
An applicant shall have finished at least secondary / high school or college and shall provide a written proof of previous education.
An applicant for the course shall hold a valid Class 1 medical certificate issued in accordance with JAR FCL 3.
Before being admitted to the course the applicant will take a pretest in following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- English language
Mathematics and Physics knowledge to be shown on multiple choice entry test corresponds to the level which is considered by Jat Airways FTO (in further text: Academy) ground instructors to be the minimum for understanding lessons during theoretical part of training. Minimum passing grade in Mathematics and Physics multiple choice pretest is 75%.
Regarding English language entry test, student should demonstrate knowledge equivalent to Medium Level ("A"+"B") of English or provide a proof of passing the appropriate exam from an authorized English language school. This credit for the hours flown shall be at the discretion of the Academy and entered into the applicant’s training record.
Training Syllabi
ATP(A) Training consists of four segments which are mutually interconnected:
- Theoretical instruction up to ATPL(A) knowledge level, divided into four theoretical blocks
- Training on FNPT II Synthetic Training Device (STD)
- Visual and instrument flying training
- Training in Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) for the operation of multi-pilot aeroplanes, using FNPT II STD
Training consists of 1,100 classes (1 class = 45 min.) of theory, 214 hours of flying, including 60 hours on FNPT II simulator.
