The Aim Of The Course
Aim of modular course for Commercial Pilot Licence is to train PPL(A) holders to the level of proficiency necessary for the issue of CPL(A).
Pre Entry Requirements
Before commencing the course an applicant shall be the holder of PPL(A) issued in accordance with ICAO Annex 1. Before commencing flight training, an applicant shall have completed 150 hours flight time as pilot.
An applicant shall have finished at least secondary / high school or college.
An applicant for CPL(A) course shall hold a valid Class 1 medical certificate issued in accordance with JAR FCL 3.
Before being admitted to the course the applicant will take a pretest in following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- English language
Mathematics and Physics knowledge to be shown on multiple choice entry test corresponds to the level which is considered by Jat Airways FTO (in further text: Academy) ground instructors to be the minimum for understanding lessons during theoretical part of training. Minimum passing grade in Mathematics and Physics multiple choice pretest is 75%.
Regarding English language entry test, student should demonstrate knowledge equivalent to Medium Level ("A"+"B") of English or provide a proof of passing the appropriate exam from an authorized English language school. However, if this level is not demonstrated, a student will be obliged to attend additional 100 classes of English language theory.
Credits For Previous Experience
This is to be obtained from the Authority before training begins, and is not the responsibility of Academy. (If a candidate has ATPL(A) theory credit endorsed in licence, it will be fully accepted and training for CPL(A) will consist only of flight training).
Training Syllabi
Training consists of three segments which are interconnected:
- Theoretical knowledge instruction up to CPL(A) level
- Training on FNPT II Synthetic Training Device
- Visual and instrument flying training
Training consists of 330 classes (1 class = 45 min.) of theory and 27 hours of flying. |
