The Aim Of The Course
The aim of IR(A) (Instrument Rating for Airplane) Single Engine Modular Course is to train certified pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to operate safe and effective flights in single-engine aircraft under IFR rules in IMC conditions, in accordance with ICAO PANS-OPS Document 8168.
Pre Entry Requirements
An applicant for a modular IR(A) course shall be the holder of a PPL(A) or a CPL(A), either licence to include the privileges to fly by night (night qualification endorsed in Pilot’s licence), issued in accordance with ICAO Annex 1.
An applicant shall have completed at least 50 hours cross-country flight time as PIC.
An applicant for IR shall hold a valid Class 2 or Class 1 medical certificate issued in accordance with JAR FCL 3, with special reference to JAR FCL 3.355 (b) (a hearing test with pure tone audiometry is required to be added to the medical class held).
An applicant for an IR (A) or validation shall have demonstrated the ability to use the English language as set out in Appendix 1 to JAR–FCL 1.200.
Credits For Previous Experience
The Academy approves flying hours and theoretical training which are realized in other FTO, under these conditions:
- The other FTO must operate according to JAR-FCL and must be registered as JAR compliant FTO by the national CAA
- Written approval must be obtained from CAD of Serbia
The holder of an IR(H) will be exempted from the theoretical knowledge instruction and theoretical examination requirement for an IR(A). Written approval from CAD of Serbia is required.
Training
Training consists of:
- Theoretical training
- Training on synthetic training device
- Aircraft training
Theoretical training consists of 330 classes (1 class = 45 min.)
Training on state-of-the-art ALSIM ALX FNPT II synthetic device consists of 35 hours.
Aircraft training consists of 15 hours of dual IFR on C-172 aircraft. |
