The Aim Of The Course
The aim of the Private Pilot Licence (Airplane) PPL(A) course is to train candidate to the level of proficiency necessary to fly safely and efficiently by VFR rules in non commercial air transportation as a pilot in command or co-pilot.
Pre Entry Requirements
Candidate should be at least 16 years of age in order to enrol into the course.
Candidate must have a valid Class 2 or Class 1 medical certificate, issued by Authorized Medical Institution in accordance with JAR FCL 3.
Note: For the PPL examination in front of CAD, the candidate must have at least 17 years of age.
Training
Training for PPL consists of:
- Theoretical training
- Aircraft training
Theoretical training programme consists of 140 classes (1 class = 45 min.).
Aircraft training consists of 45 hours of flying in four phases:
- First phase - Informative flying
- Second phase - Traffic pattern
- Third phase - VFR zone
- Fourth phase - Navigational flying
